Geraldine Emerson

Geraldine Emerson serves as Lab Director and Senior Management Team member of Bourn Hall Mediclinic, responsible for IVF Laboratory operations across the UAE.

Geraldine (Gerri) is a versatile and accomplished Lab Director /Lab Quality Director with over 30 years’ experience in Assisted Reproduction Technology in the UK, UAE, Ireland, Romania and Iraq. She shows leadership through willingness to adopt and promote positive change within IVF Laboratories. Gerri is a Diplomat of the Royal College of Pathologists UK since 2010. She is a supervisor and assessor for the Association of Clinical Embryologists UK, and a founding member and past Chair of both the Irish Fertility and Irish Embryologist Societies.

Gerri has published work in peer reviewed journals and presented at many national and international conferences.

In 1991, Gerri headed the first IVF laboratory established upon the directives and vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Dubai Health Authority to initiate specialised fertility treatment in UAE, in collaboration between DHA and London Fertility Centre.
